Some say we are living in trying times, maybe we are.
Men and women who are never tested never find out where their comfort zone ends,
or what they may be capable of.
Trials make us think, they make us look at ourselves and what we really believe.
They make us do things we would never do with out some good reason. During my period of illness I realized we (Judy and I) could do a lot of things if we had to. I also realized how strong my faith really was. I guess like gold, God heated me up so he could get rid of some of the impurities.
We are always on the anvil; by trials God is shaping us for higher things.
1 Peter 1
6 In this you rejoice, even if now for a little while you have had to suffer various trials, 7 so that the genuineness of your faith—being more precious than gold that, though perishable, is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
